Because of soccer we celebrated Huck's birthday on April 13th at our house. Huck wasn't crazy about the cake, but he really likes his toys!

Huck is ONE!
On Sunday my baby turned 1. I didn't have a meltdown, just a few tear ups. The worst was when we put his new car seat in and he looked SO big sitting in it. He definitely likes facing forward much better than facing back.
We didn't do much on his birthday. Bella has a soccer game in Moody and then we went to the grocery store and ate at Cracker Barrel.
On Monday Huck and Bella had doctors appointments. Bella for her 9 year and Huck for his 1 year. Bella is 4'7! She will pass me before long. She has grown one inch since she was in the hospital in October.
Huck was 30 1/2 inches (75th percentile) and weighed 21.4 pounds (25th percentile). We think of him as being thick but his weight is on the smaller side. He is NEVER still so I know that is part of the reason why his weight is lower too.
Huck has started eating lots of different foods over the past month. He loves spaghetti, all kinds of beans, green smoothies, and whatever anyone else is eating. He still loves mac and cheese, ice cream and crackers. I'm still giving him the little baby food pouches just so I know he is getting some fruits and vegetables in everyday. He is still nursing and I plan on doing that a while longer or until he weans himself. He is almost running now. He is climbing on anything that will hold him up. He basically gets into anything and everything. He is going to be wide open just like Finley, or maybe even a little worse than Finley (Yikes!). He is giving hugs now and it is the sweetest thing! He is becoming less of a mama's baby and there is good and bad points with that. He is still an awful sleeper and in the bed with us most of the night. I'm really amazed at how much happier he has become over the last month. Unless he is really tired he is pretty much all smiles and giggles. It is so nice to finally have a happy baby!!
These are some of my favorite pictures of Huck from the last year.
1st picture. This is my favorite. Everything happened so fast so we don't have many pictures and I will always regret that, but I'm so glad I have this one.

Bella's 9th birthday
Bella had a sleepover with a few of her friends during spring break. We wanted to get it done before her soccer season started. She really enjoyed having the girls over and this will probably become a yearly tradition.
We had pizza, cookie cake, and ice cream.
She wanted to go to P.F. Changs for her birthday dinner again this year. We went Sunday night since her birthday was Monday and she had soccer practice and Tyler had a tournament. I ate lunch with her at school and took doughnuts to celebrate with her class.
It's still hard to believe that she is 9! She told me the other day that she is almost a teenager! I told her to slow it down and that she had a few more years before that. I think her birthday and all of the celebrations turned out great this year!

11 months
In ONE month my baby will be ONE! Every time I think about it now I tear up! It just makes me sad knowing that this is the last time we will have all of the "firsts". Let me move on before I cry!
Huck is learning something new everyday and I love to see his personality really showing now. He LOVES Finley and I hope that they will be best friends through out their life. It won't be long and he will be running. He can walk really fast when he wants to get somewhere. Over the last month his coordination has really improved. He likes to help me with different task like putting clothes in the dryer and throwing things away. We have to keep our garbage can on top of the counter so he doesn't put things in or pull things out. He loves taking baths, still loves being naked, and loves baby Goldfish crackers. He is still not big on eating, but he is doing a little bit better. He can sign milk and thank you and we are working on other words. He can kick the soccer ball in front of him while walking and that makes Jason super proud ;) He is still a terrible sleeper and now he is not napping as well either. I'm trying to talk my self up so I can move him into to his room when he turns one, but I'm just not sure that I will be ready for that.
Here are a few of my favorites from his 9 month pictures. They were actually taken the day after he turned 10 months. She also did Finley's 3 year pictures so there are a few of them together too.
