We are moving home!!!

Jason got offered a job at the AT&T office in Birmingham and he accepted so we are moving back. I was a little conflicted at first. The last three years have been one big adventure. We have got to see things that we would have never seen had we not lived in these different areas and our kids now have friends in multiple states. I think it has also been really good for our family to be away and have to depend on each other.

That being said, there is nothing like living close to your family especially when you have little kids.
The closer it gets to moving time the more excited I get. I'm more excited about buying a house and settling down than anything else. There are good things about renting houses, but you never really feel at home.

We are moving into Jason's dads rental house in Mt. Olive until we find something to buy. We are sending the kids back to Our Lady of Sorrows. Tyler is excited to be able to spend 8th grade there with all of his friends. Bella doesn't really remember much about since she was 4 when we moved, but she is excited about moving back.

Obviously the last few weeks have been crazy, but we are starting to wind down now. The movers will be here Monday to pack and Tuesday to load, and we are flying out early Wednesday morning.

I don't know if we will be there forever, but we will be there for awhile.

Photos

I've decided that I'm going to take a photography class just so I can take better pictures of my kids and the things we do. I bought a nice camera before we had Finley and I finally took out the book and read how to use the camera this week. It's funny how much you can learn just by reading the instructions ;)

The next thing I'm going to buy is Photoshop. iPhoto is okay but there are tons of options with Photoshop and I want to learn how to do all those different cool effects.

Here are a few pictures that I took yesterday. I thought they turned out pretty well, but I want to get better. There is so much to learn and I hope I can learn to take great pictures of my family. You are more than welcome to leave any photography tips that you have!

I can totally see her making the face a bunch when she is 13 or 14!

I still can't believe I was able to get any of Finley. She is so busy that she is only still for a few seconds, but she actually let me get some good ones of her yesterday!

Lately

It has been so crazy since we got back from Birmingham that by the time I have a chance to sit down and blog I'm so tired that I just go to bed. I went to bed before 9 twice this week...TWICE! Since Finley decided it was time to get up at 5 AM this morning I decided to blog a bit.

I took Finley to the doctor last week for her 18 month check-up. She is doing great! She is still a tall, skinny thing with a big head. Her favorite word right now is no, but she is says it with and m instead of an n.

Bella made a friend that lives a few houses down so they play all day. I'm so happy she has something to do now, I only wish they would have met earlier. Tyler has been hanging out with his good friend Jack pretty much every other day since we got back. I've been hanging out with Finley :)

I started back to boot camp this week and I'm sore! I didn't think I would be since I ran the whole time I was home, but I was wrong!

Last Saturday I put Finley down for her nap and Jason and I went to see the last Harry Potter. It was really good. Those are some of my favorite movies and books. I still think the third movie was my favorite, but I love them all so much that I could watch them everyday.

I've been horrible this summer about taking pictures. The only pictures I took when I was home was with my phone. Hopefully I can get myself back into the habit of taking pictures all the time.

I have been freezing since we got back from Birmingham. I think there has only been one or two days where it has been above 90. Most days it's in the 70's or low 80's.

I ordered this custom family from etsy and I'm in love with it! I'm thinking about getting and individual one for each of the kids. Here is the link for their store.
