Finley's one year check up

I'm going to start off by saying that one of the worst things about moving is finding new doctors for everyone. I was nervous when we moved to Chandler because I had such good doctors in Birmingham, but I found an awesome pediatrician that was a mile from our house. She always listened and I never felt like she was rushing to get out. Their office was also brand new and it was always so nice and clean. Our pediatrician in Henderson was okay. The office always felt kind of dirty.  I was actually thinking about finding another until I found out we were moving and I just stayed there until we moved.

So I took Finley today for her one year check-up. This was the first time to see this doctor since we just moved here. We were in the waiting room for 45 minutes which is always miserable for me. I know people think I'm a total jerk. I sit as far away from everyone as I possibly can because people just let their snotty kids go all over the place and touch everything and I don't won't Finley to get sick. If a kid walks over towards Fin I pick her up. I won't let her play with any of the toys. I swear I'm not a germaphobe (sp?) but I know that those kids that are dripping snot everywhere are sick! So then I was called back and they said the doctor is a little behind but she will be in soon. 45 minutes later she finally comes in. A little behind is like 15 or 20 minutes, NOT 90 minutes. On top of that she was rushed. I know that emergencies come up and they get behind and I'm not one to ask 5 million questions and try to keep they doctor for and hour, but I don't feel 10 minutes is that long since I had been there for almost 2 hours. Next time we go we will see a different doctor so hopefully it will be better. If not, I guess I will be searching for a new pediatrician again!

                                                          Waiting on the doctor :)

Okay, enough complaining! Finley weighed 20.6 pounds (40th percentile) and is 30 1/2 inches long (90th percentile).

                                                                Blowing me a kiss. LOVE!

The name

I'm sure you have figured it out on your own, but I chose Naptime Confessions because that is about the only time I can get anything done! I guess now I will be blogging instead of cleaning and washing clothes and all of that useless stuff! Who wants to do that stuff anyways!

Today we got out of the house for a little while even though is was cool and rainy. We ate at a Mexican restaurant named Luna Loca and it was really good. Kind of expensive, but everything in California is so we expected that. Then we walked around Downtown Danville which I love. It looks like it should be in a movie. There is also an awesome candy store downtown. Bella got a bag full of all kinds of stuff and I got peanut butter fudge and rock candy! I guess I will have to start taking my camera with me so I can post pictures more often.

On a sad note, Tyler is officially acting like a teenager now. He stayed home (I seriously can't believe it because if there is food involved Tyler is there!) today so he could Skype with his friends from Our Lady of Sorrows. I'm so happy that he stays in touch with them, but what in the world do 13 year old kids have to talk about for hours and hours and hours??

First time to blog!

So I decided that I would try the whole blogging thing out since we are so far from everyone and it will be a way for people to keep up with us!

A little about me: Mom to 3 great kids (most of the time!), wife to Jason. Our life has been a little crazy the past couple of years. We moved from Birmingham, Alabama to Chandler, Arizona in August 2008, found out we were having a baby in May 2009, had little Finley January 13, 2010 then 6 weeks later found out we were moving to Las Vegas. Jason had to be there in April then the kids and I moved at the end of May. Then in September we found out we were moving to California. Jason had to be here in October and the kids and I moved here the week before Christmas. We found a house in Danville which is south east of San Francisco. The kids love their schools and Jason likes his job so everyone is pretty happy.  Hopefully 2011 will be a little less hectic, but I think I have kind of gotten used to it and if we aren't talking about moving, planning a move, or actually moving it might be a little boring!
