New house

I didn't mean to take a 2 month break from blogging, but we have been so busy that it just kind of happened. Hopefully I can start doing it a couple of times a week again.

We finally closed on our house June 19th. We had the movers at our house at 8:30 on June 20th! We had several kinks that had to be worked out the first couple of weeks, but everything seems to be working properly now and we are pretty settled. There are so many things I need to buy but I will get to them when I get a chance. Here are some pictures of the new house. I took these before we moved in because I knew it would never again look this good or be this clean!

Lately

I haven't done a very good job blogging lately. It just seems like every week gets busier and I can't find the time to do it.

 Jason and Jamie ran in the Zoo run Saturday May 19th. Jason won his age group again and finished 8th over all! After the run was over they took the girls through the zoo. Finley is at the age where she really enjoys seeing all the animals.

 

 Tyler was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. We are so proud of him for working hard and volunteering at school.

Jason's birthday was on May 17th. We ate at Habanero's, but the best part was his chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream cake from Bruester's!

Soccer was supposed to be over but Tyler was asked to play in a tournament at the end of June so he is practicing 2 or 3 days a week. He also has tryouts for the competitive team the first week of June and he is going to the UAB soccer camp the third week of June.

Last week were the kids last days at OLS.  I will miss it so much, but I'm looking forward to the kids settling in and making friends at their new schools. I will not miss the drive over to Homewood once or twice a day.

Tyler had graduation last Wednesday. I still can't believe that he will be a freshman in high school!

Our house is almost done! They hope to be completely finished with everything by June 10th and hopefully we will be able to close the 13th or 14th and move in the 15th! I'm beyond ready, but I have a ton of packing to do.

Our wedding anniversary was yesterday, but we are celebrating Saturday night with date night (Huck will be the third wheel!) at Chuy's and Yogurt Mountain! One day we will be able to go on a trip or something but we have too many babies to do that right now :)

Huck will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. I just can't believe it. He is growing so fast and he is such a sweet baby. He smiles all the time and is happy just looking around and taking everything in. All of his dark hair is falling out and it looks like he is going to be a blondie like the girls!

Tuesday Finley and I took Huck to the doctor for a check up. He weighed 10 lbs and 2.5 ozs and was 23 inches long. I knew he looked bigger, but I had no idea he had grown that much!

He turned 6 weeks old yesterday and time is already going by too fast. He smiles all the time now and it just melts my heart! He is also cooing and he really wants to talk, but he just can't figure it out. He is also much calmer than he was 2 weeks ago. He doesn't cry near as much and is content laying there looking around or talking to us. He is almost like a different baby. He is a little snuggler and pretty much sleeps with us all night. He will start out in his bassinet, but when he wakes up to nurse I usually fall right back to sleep and don't wake up until he is ready to eat again. He is staying up more during the day and the past few nights he has slept between 3 and 4 hours when he first goes down to sleep. He gets up about every 1 1/2 or 2 hours after that, but the few hours of sleep is awesome.

I got his newborn pictures made when he was 6 days old. The reason they like to do them when they are so young is because they will sleep the whole time and they can be posed and reposed without waking up. So naturally Huck was awake the entire time and refused to go to sleep until we left. He would nod of here and there for like 2 minutes and then wake right back up. I even woke him up before his pictures and kept him awake thinking he would fall asleep on the way over there and be out for a couple of hours, but it didn't work. I honestly didn't know if she got one good picture, but she did! Here are some of my favorites.

1st Communion

Bella's first communion was Sunday, April 22nd. It was beautiful and all the kids did so well and looked precious! It's still hard to believe that Bella is old enough for communion. I still remember Tyler's 1st communion like it was yesterday!

Huck and I sat in the cry room because he was only two weeks old and I was nervous about him being around a ton of people. Jason was in charge of the camera and I never really know what I'm going to get when he takes pictures, but he did a pretty good job.
